Rev. Rhys Stenner

Rhys, a graduate of London Bible College, arrived in 1992 from Teignmouth Baptist Church in Devon. Rhys is married to Louise and they have three daughters, Megan, Eleanor and Sarah.

There has been growth and development in many areas of the ministry of the Church since Rhys' arrival. The Church has seen a growth in the Full Time Staff with Phillip Deuk and David Treneer and the introduction of Ministry Group Leaders supporting ministries all areas of Church Life. Through this structure we hope to see 'Every Member Ministry' become a reality.

Small Groups have been developed not only to encourage Bible Study and Prayer but also to provide support for each of those involved, there are currently 20 groups running.

A number of different training courses have been introduced to develop the individuals walk with God. Reality Explored, 'Who Me"?, Contagious Christian and Experiencing God are examples of these.

1998/99 Saw the Refurbishment of the New Hall take place and the purchase of 65 Holland Road. We sent Missions to Wales, and were partnered in Mission here in Brighton and Hove by 'Sound Foundation' from Calvary Baptist Church, North Carolina and a team from New Hope Baptist Church, Atlanta.
We started running Alpha courses and Overcomers.

As we enter the 21st Century we want to be able to adapt without compromise, to reach our town with the Gospel as God intended it. To be relevant to this generation.
